On 5/23/2015 at approximately 11:35 PM, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jose Ulloa-Guiza, age 45, of 205 Big Valley Dr. #70, Johnson City, TN, and Joel Martinez-Gomez, age 30, of 205 Big Valley Dr. #70, Johnson City, TN, on charges of aggravated assault. Officers responded to the suspect’s home where a fight had occurred over money. The investigation revealed that the suspects assaulted two victims with a machete and a baseball bat. Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Both suspects were taken to the Washington County Detention Center where they are held in lieu of a $10,000 bond with an arraignment set for Monday May 25, 2015 at 1:30 PM in Washington County General Sessions Court.
