On 5/4/2015 at 4:29 p.m. officers of the Johnson City Police Department were dispatched to the area of W. Market St. and Lamons Ct. in reference to a crash with injuries. The crash investigation revealed that a 2003 Toyota Tacoma attempted to turn left onto W. Market St. from Lamons Ct. A 1978 Honda Motorcycle traveling westbound on W. Market St was being operated by Andrew Barnett (19 Veterans Way, 55 years old). The Toyota Tacoma pulled out in front of the Honda Motorcycle at which time the motorcycle then struck the truck in the driver’s side door. Mr. Barnett eventually passed away while at the Johnson City Medical Center later that evening. The investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
