On 4/10/15, at approximately 6:00 a.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to the Johnson City Medical Center in reference to a shooting. The victim, Spencer Forney, received a single gunshot to the back. He is listed in stable condition at this time.
The investigation revealed that Forney and 3 others were in the parking lot of the Waffle House, 510 N. State of Franklin Rd., when Forney was shot inside of a vehicle. The person responsible for shooting Forney, Brent Roark, ran from the vehicle and fled the scene. According to the witnesses inside the vehicle, they transported Forney to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment. Those witnesses were subsequently brought in for questioning. A warrant has been obtained for Brent Michael Roark charging him with aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm. He is described as a white male, 22 years old, 5’11, 180 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who observes Roark should not approach him and are asked to contact 911.
