On 4/09/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested William Shamblin (404 1/2 Hamilton St, Johnson City
TN, 29 years old) and charged him with aggravated assault.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., officers responded to 23 Veterans Way due to a male being assaulted with a baseball bat.
Officers located the victim who advised that he had gotten into a fight with Shamblin during which Shamblin struck him multiple
times in the arm with a baseball bat. Shamblin left the scene before officers arrival, but was located a short time later at 820
Hamilton St. The victim was transported by ambulance to the Johnson City Medical Center for a possible broken arm.
The baseball bat was located on the porch of 820 Hamilton St and Shamblin was placed under arrest and transported to the
Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond. Arraignment is set for
1:30p.m. on 4/09/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
