On 04/04/15 at 2:54 a.m. officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Matthew S. Keller (510 Depot St, 28 years old) and charged him with Bribery of a Public Servant.
At approximately 2:54 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with a brake light inoperative at the time of the stop. Officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Matthew S. Keller. The investigation revealed that Mr. Keller was unable to operate a motor vehicle due to his impairment. He was arrested for D.U.I. 1st offense, Failure to Provide Insurance, Light Law Violation, and Violation of Implied Consent Law. Once Mr. Keller was placed into custody, he then offered the arresting officer $100.00 to let him out of the arrest and let him call a friend to come pick him up. Mr. Keller was then charged with Bribery of a Public Servant.
He was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $51,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 04/06/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
