On 04/01/15, Investigators with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Thomas Eugene Elliott (106 Renee Dr., Johnson City, 21 years old) on charges of Auto Burglaries (3cts.), Theft of Property over $500.00 and Theft of Property under $500.00 (2cts.).
On 2/9/15, Officers with the Johnson City Police Department received a report of an Auto Burglary that occurred at 149 Lynn Road. The complainant reported that someone entered a vehicle parked on his business lot and stole stereo equipment. The act was caught on security video which captured the suspect’s vehicle. On March 23, 2015, the vehicle was located. A search warrant was issued for the vehicle and upon execution of the search warrant, some of the stolen stereo equipment was located. A GPS unit belonging to a separate Auto Burglary victim, that occurred the same night, was also located.
On 04/01/15, warrants were obtained for Thomas Eugene Elliott on charges of 3 counts of Auto Burglary, 1 count of Theft of Property over $500.00 and 2 counts of Theft of Property under $500.00. The warrants were served on him at the WCDC where he is being held on unrelated charges. He is being held on a $37,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court of Washington County on Thursday, 4/3/15 at 1:30 pm
