On 3/25/15, investigators of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Johnathan Griffith (183 County Line Rd, Cedar Bluff, Va., 26 years old) charging him with (5cts) forgery and (5cts) theft of property under $500.
On 3/11/15, officers reported a forgery that had occurred in October of 2014. Griffith was identified as the person who cashed checks that he had forged the signatures of the victims name on. This offence occurred at First Bank and Trust on W. Walnut St. in Johnson City.
On 3/25/15, Griffith was taken into custody when he was released from the Sullivan County Detention Center and he was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 3/26/15 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
